Kenneth Rubango

He leads digital innovation, biomedical engineering, and technology solutions that improve healthcare access and operational excellence. He has been instrumental in driving double-digit business growth through digital transformation and data-driven decision-making, while advancing modern health technologies across Uganda.

Kenneth holds an MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Makerere University. He is also certified by MIT Professional Education as a Chief Digital Officer and in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Beyond JMS, Kenneth serves as Director Technical at Oxylife, where he led the establishment of Uganda’s first National Drug Authority-licensed medical oxygen production facility. He has also lectured Biomedical Engineering at Makerere University and consulted for Uganda’s Ministry of Health on national medical equipment programmes.

His leadership has earned several recognitions, including the JMS Exceptional Productivity and Service Excellence Award for his contribution during the COVID-19 response and international innovation awards for biomedical technologies that improve patient care.
