Malaria & PPE Supply Chain

Malaria & PPE Supply Chain

Joint Medical Store (JMS) plays a pivotal role in Uganda’s fight against malaria by delivering integrated, end-to-end warehousing and distribution solutions for malaria commodities across the Private Not-for-Profit (PNFP) sector. This contribution is aligned with the Uganda 10-year supply chain roadmap and guided by the National Malaria Control Division (NMCD) policies and guidelines, which prioritize universal access to malaria prevention, diagnosis, and treatment services.

Through this program, JMS ensures the reliable and continuous availability of life-saving antimalarial medicines, rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs), insecticide-treated nets (LLINs), and essential protective commodities, strengthening service delivery at the last mile and improving health outcomes for communities nationwide, in line with national targets for malaria reduction and elimination.

Our Partners

Value-Based Contractual Framework

JMS operates under a performance-driven, value-based cost model with its development partners, where service fees are directly linked to the value of commodities handled and delivered. This approach ensures cost efficiency, transparency, accountability, and optimal value for money.

Digital Supply Chain Enablement

Leveraging the Integrated Online Ordering System (IOS) and advanced web-based platforms, JMS delivers enhanced end-to-end visibility, real-time reporting, and coordinated planning across the supply chain.

These digital capabilities enable a data-driven, responsive, and accountable supply chain ecosystem, ensuring that commodities are delivered efficiently, accurately, and on time to health facilities.
