Namutebi Joanita

Joanita directs JMS warehousing and distribution systems to strengthen revenue growth and expand access to quality health products. A registered pharmacist with over 15 years’ experience in health supply chain management, she has successfully managed multi-million-dollar donor programmes, improved order fulfilment to over 95%, and champions data-driven, ethically governed supply chains.

She holds an MBA (Health Care Management) from Makerere University and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Jamia Hamdard University, India. She has further specialised in Supply Chain Analytics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), is a member of the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM), a graduate of the Strathmore University CEO Apprenticeship Programme, and holds an AI Starter Kit Certificate from ALX Africa.

Under her leadership, JMS was recognised by the Ministry of Health in Uganda as the HIHA Supply Chain & Logistics Company of the Year (2024). She is a recipient of the JMS Innovation Award, has served on the Board of the Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network, and has contributed to Uganda’s national health supply chain strengthening initiatives.
